How do people afford Louis Vitton clothes?

I go to college in Dublin and I see women on their early-20s wearing Louis Vitton purses, bags, and coats. I know they're a very expensive brand so I wonder how they can all afford them? I assume there a fair amount that are replicas and not the real thing.
