High Calprotectine and High ALP interpretation?

33yo white male, 140lbs 5'8, generally healthy.

Had bloodwork and stool collected for IBS-IBD investigation, which happened during at the end of a 6 days diharrea episode (4-6 loose stools a day, terrible bland diet during that time, poor sleep, lost 7 pounds).

Results were clear other than high fecal calprotectin (251ug) and high ALP.

A referral for colonoscopy was submitted due to (borderline since cutoff at 250ug) high calprotectine value indicating inflammation so further investigation needed.

Family doctor was unsure what would correlate calprotectin and alkaline phosphate.

Any thoughts? Thank you!
