UChicago ED2 Decision Coming Early?

The option to change my decision plan from ED2 to RD and my applicant checklist have disappeared. I’ve seen other posts saying this happens when decisions are finalized and can be released anytime. But historically they’ve always come out on the second Friday of February (Feb 16 for this year). Has this happened to anyone else? Do you think decisions might come earlier?
