a Moment of Silence & Call To Action!
⚰️ R.I.P. to 1TB of Unbacked-Up Brilliance (???–2025) ⚰️
Congregation,
We gather here today to mourn a tragic and utterly preventable loss—1 TB of research, books, PDFs, and priceless knowledge, and a ton of personal files including newer branding, product templates and newer artworks... lost to the cold, merciless void... (to be clear about 400-500 GB was research and books alone).
A digital empire, collapsed. A vast library, erased in an instant, as if the gods themselves declared: “Thou shalt learn the hard way. (again)”
And so, here I stand, another victim of that cruelest of teachers—Myself. A moment of silence, please...
...
...
...
But let me be clear—I am no stranger to loss. I have suffered worse. I have endured catastrophe and risen from the wreckage, wiser and admittedly slightly more bitter... This? This is merely another painful blessing, another lesson, another fire under my arse telling me: Enough!
No more disorganization. No more "I’ll back it up tomorrow." No more relying on fragile, bloated, malware-ridden Windows machines that crash if you look at them too hard.
Yes, I said it. Windows is trash. A bloated, corporate-infested digital landfill where updates hijack your workflow, files disappear into the ether, and dreaded blue screens may as well read “Your work meant nothing.”
You were mid-project? Too bad—Windows decided today was the day it needed to "update" for three hours and still somehow break something in the process!
But let’s be real—not all of you are ready for Linux, the OS of the gods, the foundation upon which the digital world is built. I get it. Some of you are shackled to Mac, a luxury prison where Apple decides what you can and cannot do, while others are still suffering under the tyranny of Windows, the Fisher-Price My First Operating System. Fine. I will not judge. But I will pity, even pity my damn self!
However, this is bigger than operating systems. This is about preserving knowledge itself. We have watched history be rewritten, documents vanish, and data hoarded by corporations who would rather charge you a subscription or pass around a collection plate and still lie to your face, than let the world have what belongs to us all.
Congregation, We need a decentralized Digital Library of Alexandria— a new hub of Truth, and human intellect, from the esoteric, occult, ancient wisdoms ALL OF IT! - one that cannot be burned, deleted, or corrupted by a forced Windows update. (that's a shot at myself)
Congregation, Discords are cool and all, but they come with in-fighting, plants, agents that actually want to take this entire thing down, and smut our work and keep the world in the modern dark ages (of misinformation). A Fellow Member has reached out to me, and opened a dialogue about possibilities (having no idea what happened to me last night, life is poetically beautiful, isn't it?!).
We Need:
- System Architects & Infrastructure Specialists – To design a robust, decentralized network that ensures redundancy, security, and accessibility across all platforms. No single point of failure. No central authority. A fortress of knowledge.
- Cybersecurity & Encryption Experts – To lock it down so no bad actors, corporations, or governments can censor or destroy what we build. End-to-end encryption, onion routing, blockchain verification—WHATEVER it takes.
- Data Archivists & Knowledge Curators – To collect, verify, and organize the most valuable texts, research, and resources for Renaissance 2.0. History, philosophy, science, strategy, survival, technology, art—all of it, the good, the bad, the fuckin' ugly!
- Distributed Storage & Hosting Experts – To ensure files exist everywhere and nowhere at once. No reliance on Big Tech servers. We need to explore IPFS (InterPlanetary File System), Nextcloud, torrents, decentralized databases—whatever works.
- Automators & DevOps Engineers – To streamline processes so that backups happen automatically, files are mirrored across nodes, and updates are seamless without human error or laziness getting in the way.
- Community Organizers & Educators – To bring people in, teach them how to contribute, and ensure this knowledge isn’t just stored but actively used and passed on. No gatekeeping. No information silos.
This is not a drill. We start now, or we let history repeat itself—again. let my mistake be your lesson!
Who among you will rise to the call?
As Always & With Love,
Valentino 'Tha Grime Minister' Grimes!!
\P.S: thankfully the 400-500 research loss is a drop in the bucket, and more recent... this situation though has led me to dedicate today (and maybe the next few days) to finally going through ALL my hard drives, my mountain of thumb drives, cloud storage etc. and collect it and organize it ALL. and a healthy PURGE - and, im switching my Desktop back to linux! (I'll just VM for my adobe creative cloud work.. thats the ONLY reason I still use windows**
