Am I wrong to expect them to accommodate my allergy?

I am allergic to adhesive. That means no bandaids or any sort of tape when I’m getting blood drawn.

I have that noted EVERYWHERE

I still always remind them before they start that im allergic to adhesive.

My phrase is “im allergic to adhesive I can’t use tape or bandaids but can use the stuff that goes all around your arm and sticks to itself”

Inevitably they ask if they can use paper tape.

I then say no, not even paper tape.

They never have the tape that goes all around your arm. So I’m left holding a cotton square until the bleeding stops.

This happens everywhere too. Not just one company. I do get blood work 2-4 times a year and honestly forget to bring the correct stuff but also they charge a crap ton to not just me but also my insurance so it feels like they should provide the correct bandage. No?

I just had blood work this morning and quest told me my insurance is paying $3000 and I’m responsible for another $900. Surely they can accommodate an allergy to adhesive, right?
