Non-A Keesler Lodging
Need suggestions on where to stay with a non-a letter. I have a 40 day school starting beginning of June for Keesler. Id like to earn some points or nights towards a status level with a hotel, but not the end all be all if theres a better place available. All the other posts appear to be a little older.
EDIT: I stayed at home2suites in diberville. I would recommend it. Free breakfast (and surprisingly good) every day. Staff is great, ac blows cold with zero issues, rooms are a little dated, but the amenities make up for it. You can have thing shipped to the hotel for you to pick up at the front desk no problem. They have a kitchenette (fridge, freezer, dishwasher) and they have cook tops you can ask for from the front desk. They also have a small pool and an awesome outdoor grilling area. They provide everything needed to use the grill, plus has all utensils, plates, cups etc. If you're a gamer, they have a weird setup that doesn't allow tou to change the input of the TV or turn it off with their remote. So I had to buy a universal one off Amazon. I had no issues with the wifi, although the front desk said it sometimes sucks with the storms. The commute is short, but there's only 2 gates on Keesler now. Pass road and division. Division is the main gate and backs up frequently. I'd recommend the home2suites, the hampton inn across the way, the courtyard in diberville, or any of the name brand hotels near the beach (hampton, Hyatt, etc.) My biggest tip would be to book your hotel as soon as you find out you're going because you can cancel that all the way up to the checkin date, and that way you'll get the hotel you want and it allows you to wait on the non-a. Had a few classmates show up the day before class and get a non-a. Almost anyone who knew a few weeks out didn't get one. Enjoy the coast
