[Linkbuilding] Approaching freelancers for link insertion in their previous work?
Hi,
Some of largest newspapers of my home countries use freelancers to create buying guides that are full of affiliate links (small EU country).
These buying guides usually include a list of sources, that sometimes include sites that I know are from my competitors, and I think we are a better source.
I would like to approach these freelancers with the hope to get listed in the sources, and I am hesitant on how to do this. I know that I have just "one shot" at this, so trying to consult or brainstorm here, before pulling the trigger. Options I've brainstorm:
- A praise and an offer to make existing posts slightly better " As an expert I noticed a few things that you might have left out, I can send you a quick list if you'd like". Then work on it if they say yes, and if they include those, ask nicely to be listed as source.
- A more direct way to see if they would include us, against payment. This is maybe more straigthforward and honest, but might be super offputting.
- Anything I might be missing? Anything you would rather try?
Any ideas of feedback is super appreciated!
