Do I need to take AP chem??

I wanna study to become a pharmacist. Everywhere I look it says that I should take AP chem, but I really don’t want to bc I heard the teacher is bad. In replacement, I would just take Honors Chemistry. Would this be fine??

Edit- I forgot to mention this but this would also take up a whole extra credit bc to take AP chem we need to take honors chem first
