AITA for celebrating our dog’s birthday instead of my daughter’s?
I (27f) have a dog named Roscoe and a daughter named Amethyst Aquamarine. Roscoe and Amethyst Aquamarine have birthdays that are a day apart from each other. However, because dogs don’t live as long as humans and I didn’t want to pay for two parties, I have decided to only celebrate Roscoe’s birthday. We had a big party with several guests and I had Amethyst Aquamarine bake Roscoe a vanilla cake (because dogs can’t eat chocolate). It was a wonderful time. However, now Amethyst Aquamarine is crying in her bed. I hope she doesn’t stay sad in school because I don’t want her “A” average to go down to a “B.” AITA? Should I have had them share the party instead?
